In the company of comedian Rob Delaney, Richard Ayoade packs his carry-on case and sets off to enjoy an optimal two-day mini city break in Seville, southern Spain. On arrival, the duo soon learn to dance flamenco and eat tapas and churros. They also explore Metropol Parasol, one of the boldest pieces of modern architecture in Europe and visit a film set built for the spaghetti western A Fistful of Dollars. After seeking to channel their inner Eastwood, the amigos repair to the saloon for some Fanta and a Kinder egg.

Richard Ayoade is joined by Jo Brand for a two-day spell in the italian city. The pair stay at the famous Hotel Danieli, formerly the lodgings of Lord Byron, Charles Dickens and Indiana Jones, and in almost no time learn to row a gondola, take in the famous sights, sample the Venetian version of tapas, and explore the world of masks. They also road-test Whaiwhai - a book used with a map and mobile that takes people on a treasure hunt around the city - only without the treasure.

Time-conscious traveller Richard Ayoade is joined by Hollywood actor Paul Rudd for a brisk 48 hour romp round Helsinki. To get their bearings the pair head straight to the Ladies toilet in the Torni hotel, which offers the best view of the city. They go kayaking and snack on some reindeer jerky at the city's Hakaniemi market. Richard and Paul also visit not one, but two saunas - one of which can be found in a well-known burger chain.They visit the beautiful wilderness island of Seurassari, go foraging, and finish up at a sweet shop.
Ep 3 - Lisbon Toggle seen
Writer, actor, comedian and podcaster Adam Buxton accompanies Richard Ayoade on a voyage of discovery in Lisbon, Europe's sunniest capital. The Portuguese city is known for its decorative tiling and maritime history. Adam and Richard first tackle it at breakneck speed in an electric rickshaw. They also visit a tinned-fish emporium, take the celebrated iron lift - the Elevador de Santa Justa - and listen to some fado, Lisbon's version of the blues. There's potent cherry liqueur for breakfast; a tram ride up a steep hillside; a trip to a doll hospital; and a visit to Belem, home to Lisbon's famed custard tarts.

Ep 1 - St. Petersburg Toggle seen
Due to overwhelming availability, Richard Ayoade returns as Travel Man, bringing sense and order to the potential chaos of the mini break. This time he visits Russia's cultural capital St Petersburg with comedian Rob Beckett. Together they embark on a fast and funny, post-Soviet itinerary, that includes an armoured tank, fish eggs, vodka, ice, culture, more ice, and a herring in a fur coat. They also visit a retro communist-era apartment popular with the hipster crowd.
Ep 2 - Budapest Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade descends upon Hungary's fairy tale capital Budapest for a whistle-stop tour with comedian, actor and writer Aisling Bea. There's a starter lesson with the seemingly impenetrable national language and a selfie tour taking in as many of the city's sights as possible - including a statue of Columbo actor Peter Falk. There's also goulash; a 'ruin pub' for a taste of unicum, the local herbal liquor; a game of chess at the thermal baths; a children's railway; some chimney cake; and a ride on the Zugliget chairlift, high in the Buda hills.
Ep 3 - Tenerife Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade heads for Tenerife for a multi-packed mini break with Lena Dunham, writer, director, actor, and creator of Girls. In the north of the island the pair visit a guachinche pop-up restaurant, with goat stew. They explore the barren lunar landscape around the volcanic Mount Teide and spend the evening stargazing. There is also a sculpture tour, including Henry Moore and Joan Miro; some layered coffee; a spot of golf; and a search for whales.

Richard Ayoade and comedian Rhod Gilbert take on 48 hours in Florida's hot spot, for a densely packed mini-break including art, art deco slobbing, alligators, yoga, speedboats - and dominoes. There's also an airboat tour of the Florida's everglades and a trip to Little Havana.
Season 5
Ep 1 - Rome Toggle seen
Joined by comedian Matt Lucas for a frenetic 48 hours in the Italian capital. Their first challenge is finding suitable headgear to protect from the scorching Italian sun. They then take a guided tour in vintage Fiat 500 cars, and after wending their way past the Circus Maximus finish atop Gianicolo Hill in time for the cannon being fired - a daily ritual since the 1850s. Next they head to the border of the Vatican, before experiencing the very best of modern Italian cuisine. Day two sees visits to the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum, perhaps Rome's most incredible antiquity.

Richard and Sara Pascoe visit the birthplace of paella, for cocktails, zorbing, a four-wheel bike ride and a hunt for the holy grail.

Richard Ayoade returns with the offbeat tourism show and is joined in the first edition by comedian and Room 101 host Frank Skinner for a short break in Switzerland's largest city. Their two-day break in Zurich features trips to a football museum and the Cabaret Voltaire, which was the birthplace of the Dada art movement, while they also go on the steepest funicular railway in the world, pay homage to the Swiss army knife and go for a pedalo ride on Lake Zurich.
Ep 2 - Ibiza Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade is joined by writer and actor Jessica Knappett for his latest trip, touring the island in a silver Citroen 2CV, discovering there is more to Ibiza than foam parties, and visiting the Unesco world heritage site of Dalt Vila in the capital. They also take in al fresco art at the island's version of Stonehenge, experience an exclusive supper club run by the global superstar chef Boris Buono and sample a selection of pricy cocktails, flowriding and a hippy gong bath.
Ep 3 - Ljubljana Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade is joined by Eddie Izzard for two days in Slovenia, where they begin by trying Slovenian tapas and the country's orange wine in the capital city Ljubljana. Day two starts with a trip out of town to the stunningly beautiful Lake Bled, where they try summer tobogganing and a spot of rowing, while there's also a magic church bell, custard pastries and a funicular ride to Ljubljana Castle.

Richard Ayoade is joined by actress and comedian Morgana Robinson for a two-day break in the Italian city of Milan, taking in art, pasta, the bowling game of bocce, and a drink in Backdoor 43 - a tiny bar that can hold a maximum of four customers at a time. At a viewing of Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper, Richard finds the painting to be quite good, but Morgana thinks it's "no Tracey Emin". The pair also take in the city's epic cathedral and drop in on a pasta-making lesson that proves strangely musical.
Season 8
Ep 1 - Athens Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade returns with the offbeat tourism show and is joined in the first edition by comedy actress and writer Dawn French, with the pair spending two days in the Greek capital. Their mini-break features doughnuts, the Acropolis and the thermal waters of Lake Vouliagmeni, which is rumoured to be the goddess Athena's favourite bathing spot. Richard and Dawn sample a 14-course tasting menu at a temple to molecular gastronomy, before they go on an Olympic tour featuring discus and javelin training.
Ep 2 - Porto Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade is joined by comedian Nish Kumar for a short break in Portugal's second city, starting their trip with a welcome tipple of its eponymous fortified wine. To get their bearings, they hire electric scooters and refuel with Porto's favourite sandwich, the meaty francesinha, before having a 5D cinema experience and climbing the Arrabida bridge. Nish makes a confession at a church, and then the duo indulge in a selection of local pastries with a cake connoisseur, and test out artisanal soap.
Ep 3 - Tallinn Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade is joined by TV and radio presenter Alice Levine for a packed two-day break in the Estonian capital Tallinn. The pair head to the top of the country's tallest building, while Alice gives a masterclass in TV presenting, and they walk through a thousand years of Estonian history - including peeping Toms and a cold-war cocktail. They also visit an old KGB outpost, try the sport of kick sledging and sample some new Baltic cuisine, before boarding a submarine for an end-of-trip recap.

Richard Ayoade and Bob Mortimer go for a spin round cosmopolitan Hamburg. There's a Beatles tour in the red-light district, some local hash - corned beef - and hip cocktails.
Season 9
Ep 1 - Dubrovnik Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade is joined by Stephen Merchant to enjoy a weekend break in the Croatian city of Dubrovnik. Having checked in to their fancy rooms at a 16th-century townhouse, they head off round one of the world's best-preserved medieval cities. A Game of Thrones tour features some of the show's most celebrated locations, while Richard and Stephen also visit a hilltop fort still littered with landmines dating from the war of the 1990s.
Ep 2 - Bergen Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade is joined by comedian Lou Sanders for a two-day break in the Norwegian city of Bergen, taking a speedboat transfer from the airport to their waterfront lodgings. They explore the historic neighbourhood of Bryggen, ride a cable car to the top of Mt Ulriken and fly down the the fastest zipline in Norway - against Richard's better judgement.
Ep 3 - Kraków Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade is joined by comedian Joe Wilkinson for a two-day break in Poland's second city Krakow, beginning by attending a baking workshop, before heading to a salt mine to marvel at the world's largest underground chapel. They also drive to Nowa Huta, a showcase suburb of socialist realism, where they end up in an authentic communist-era apartment - with obligatory vodka and pickles. After a lunch of pierogi dumplings, they take part in a stained glass workshop at the centre of Krakow's art nouveau movement.
Ep 4 - Madrid Toggle seen
Richard Ayoade and comedian Ellie Taylor head to the Spanish capital for a two-day break, following an itinerary rich in art, history, histrionics and ham. The pair go on a guided tour in which they view masterpieces by Bosch, Velasquez, Picasso and Dali, before they attend a ham-carving workshop and a sample a five-course tasting menu, of which four courses are pork or ham, including a tartare dish. They also take in a lively boating lake, a circus church and a grisly tour of the Spanish Inquisition.
Season 10
Ep 1 - The Basque Country Toggle seen
Joe Lycett is joined by James Acaster for a long weekend in the Spanish part of the Basque Country, travelling from the Guggenheim in Bilbao to Mount Igueldo. Along the way, they sample the local tipple Kalimotxo, a combination of red wine and cola, take a vertigo-inducing walk across the world's first transporter bridge, and pay homage to artist Eduardo Chillida.
Ep 2 - Split Toggle seen
Joe Lycett is joined by Aisling Bea for a trip to the Croatian city of Split, where they go on a dog walk organised by a local animal shelter, try their hand at paddleboarding and visit a museum of stuffed frogs. They also learn to prepare a local fish dish despite neither of them liking seafood, and explore the maze of alleys and squares that were once a palace built by the Roman emperor Diocletian.

Joe takes Mo Gilligan on a Cypriot odyssey where they get hands-on with halloumi, ride mushroom boats, visit the salt and pepper museum and sample a 24-carat gold ice lolly.

Fellow comedian Sarah Millican joins Joe for a fast and funny exploration of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius. As one of the best places in the world to try hot air ballooning, Joe and Sarah take to the skies to see the city from above; an experience they find by turns terrifying, thrilling, and beautiful.
Ep 2 - Dublin Toggle seen
Comedian Mawaan Rizwan joins Joe Lycett to explore Dublin. Ten statues across the city have been given QR codes. When visitors scan the code, the statue phones them, so Joe and Mawaan get to hear from Oscar Wilde and Molly Malone. After exploring the city's smallest restaurant, they head to its largest tourist attraction, the Guinness Storehouse, where they learn how to pour the perfect pint and even get their faces printed on it. Day two begins with a swim at Forty Foot, then at Windmill Lane studios the duo learn the story of Ireland's answer to Abbey Road and lay down a track of their own.
