In the series' penultimate episode, each leading character's final story begins to unfold. Brennan testifies for Zach in trial, Angela reveals some big news, while Aubrey and Jessica come to terms about their future together. All the while, the team discovers Kovac has escaped, leaving Booth in a race against the clock to protect himself and those closest to him from what may be Kovac's most dangerous plan yet.

Seemingly back in the swing of a fully functioning relationship, Rob and Sharon receive a very surprising dinner invitation from estranged couple Fran and Chris. Meanwhile, Fergal travels back to London to give an update on his unsatisfactory family life in Spain. Sharon has a check-up with a less than empathetic doctor where it's revealed that she's now pretty low in the egg department. And Rob's dark secret is uncovered by Chris.

When a turf war escalates, members of truck and squad find themselves caught in the middle as unsuspecting hostages when a group of armed gang members take cover and assume control over Firehouse 51. The situation turns even more dire when one of the infiltrators is wounded and in need of serious help.

The Legends must devise a plan to retrieve the last remaining fragments of the Spear of Destiny from the Legion of Doom. They find themselves in France at the height of World War I faced with the knowledge that they must destroy the mystical object. They enlist the help of a soldier by the name of John Ronald Reuel Tolkin and find that the Spear is leading them into the heart of the war. Meanwhile, the team must all resist the temptation of the Spear, and the return of a former teammate.

Barry and team are surprised when Mon-El and Hank Henshaw arriive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl who was whammied by the Music Meister. Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end.

Stef starts a new assignment in human trafficking where she meets a young girl turning tricks on the streets.

Mindy’s world is turned upside down when her cool friend from childhood moves to New York and starts dating Morgan. Meanwhile, Ben has to cover his tracks after the nurses spot him in a provocative situation.
